Role & responsibilities :

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of the Wave platform.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Service Delivery, and STA, you will troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and enhance platform efficiency.

- Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining system performance, managing incidents, and driving automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

- You will design and maintain monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch, analyze data to provide insights, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

- Additionally, you will support client calls on technical topics, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and provide mentorship to team members.

- With a focus on reliability, proactive problem-solving, and attention to detail, you will help drive operational excellence and support McKinseys mission of delivering impact at scale.

Preferred candidate profile :

- 3- 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions

- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and CloudWatch

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data analysis

- Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and its services

- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

- Knowledge of networking principles and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

- Understanding of security principles and best practices in operational environments

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems, particularly GitHub (e.g., repositories, pull requests).

- Experience with Jenkins or Concourse is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and a willingness to continuously learn and improve

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
