Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Administrator with strong expertise in IBM z/VSE to support and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications. The role involves providing L2/L3 production support, handling incident management, and delivering system enhancements in a 247 production environment.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, as this is a client-facing role requiring close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills :

- Hands-on experience with IBM z/VSE administration

- Experience providing L2/L3 production support in a mainframe environment

- Strong knowledge of VSE JCL, VSE/POWER, and batch processing operations

- Experience working with CICS on z/VSE

- Understanding of VSAM file structures (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS)

- Experience with TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, and file-based integrations

- Solid understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have :

- Experience in COBOL for debugging and minor enhancements

- Exposure to VSEn / VSE Navigator

- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain domains

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide end-to-end production support, including incident management, service requests, and issue resolution within defined SLAs

- Lead P1/P2 incident bridges, ensuring rapid resolution and clear stakeholder communication

- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence

- Deliver system enhancements including design, development, testing, and deployment

- Manage change and release activities, including implementation and backout planning

- Ensure stability of batch and online systems aligned with business timelines

- Support system connectivity and integrations critical for supply chain operations

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth service delivery

- Maintain audit-ready documentation and operational records
