Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Storage Administrator with strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage management and related technologies. The candidate will be responsible for storage administration, configuration, data movement, backup/recovery, and high-availability solutions in a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support IBM z/OS environments with strong knowledge of mainframe storage.

- Work with Parallel Sysplex concepts and configurations.

- Perform and support mainframe LPAR builds.

- Implement and manage DFSMS storage environments.

- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ACS (Automatic Class Selection) routines.

- Support DFSMSdss for DASD volume data movement, dumps, and restores.

- Implement and manage automated backup and data migration using DFSMShsm.

- Manage and maintain mainframe catalogs.

- Implement and support advanced storage copy services including PPRC, XRC, and FlashCopy.

- Work with Metro Mirror and GDPS for high availability and disaster recovery.

- Install, configure, and support additional physical storage.

- Troubleshoot storage-related issues and ensure availability, performance, and data recoverability.

- Participate in storage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.

Required Expertise :

- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe Storage Administration, with strong knowledge of z/OS, DFSMS, DFSMShsm, storage copy services, catalogs, DASD, and disaster recovery technologies.
