Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise mainframe applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IMS DB, CICS, and Pacbase, along with solid programming and troubleshooting skills in a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using Pacbase and related technologies.

- Design, code, test, and implement solutions in IMS DB and CICS environments.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Perform application maintenance, defect resolution, and performance optimization.

- Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production support activities.

- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and development best practices.

- Support application deployment and post-production activities.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. IMS DB

2. CICS

3. Pacbase

- Good knowledge of COBOL and JCL.

- Experience with batch and online processing environments.

- Understanding of mainframe debugging and performance tuning techniques.

- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

- Experience working with version control and change management processes.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to DB2 and VSAM.

- Experience with IBM z/OS environment.

- Knowledge of scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, or equivalent.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
