We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization Expert to lead the transformation of legacy IBM Mainframe applications into modern, cloud-enabled architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe technologies, application modernization, cloud migration, and enterprise transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in designing modernization strategies, leading migration efforts, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end IBM Mainframe modernization and cloud migration projects.

- Assess legacy applications and define modernization strategies and migration roadmaps.

- Analyze application dependencies and provide technical guidance during migration.

- Modernize legacy applications, batch processing, job scheduling, and release management processes.

- Develop automation scripts using Python for testing, reporting, and data validation.

- Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the modernization lifecycle.

- Validate application functionality, performance, and data integrity after migration.

- Implement cloud-native solutions while ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.

- Optimize mainframe workloads and improve application performance.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support during migration activities.

- Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, and best practice guidelines.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe technologies.

- Expertise in Mainframe Modernization and Legacy Application Migration.

- Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and Mainframe Architecture.

- Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and cloud migration methodologies.

- Experience with API Enablement and DevOps practices.

- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, RACF, FTP/SFTP/CFT, batch scheduling, workload management, and JCL optimization.

- Experience with Rocket Enterprise Analyzer, Rocket Enterprise Developer, and Rocket Enterprise Server.

- Proficiency in Python for automation, testing, and data validation.

- Experience with Control-M or T-Systems Advanced Job Management (AJM) is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience delivering enterprise-scale modernization and cloud transformation programs.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices.

- Experience working with Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Airlines, Telecom, Government, or other enterprise environments running IBM Mainframe workloads.

- Ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive modernization initiatives across large-scale enterprise systems.
