Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and hands-on experience in the Cards & Payments domain. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications, with a strong understanding of payment processing, card lifecycle management, and transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions for Cards & Payments applications.

- Design, code, test, debug, and implement high-quality software solutions.

- Develop and optimize SQL queries and DB2 database objects.

- Perform impact analysis and support production releases.

- Investigate and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.

- Participate in system integration, unit testing, and user acceptance testing.

- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

- Ensure compliance with coding standards and best development practices.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL

- Good knowledge of JCL

- Strong experience with DB2

- Experience with CICS

- VSAM knowledge is an added advantage

- Good understanding of File Handling and Batch Processing

- Strong SQL and performance tuning skills

- Experience with Endevor, Changeman, or other version control tools

- Exposure to scheduling tools such as CA7 or Control-M is preferred

Domain Experience :

- Mandatory experience in Cards & Payments domain.

- Good understanding of :

3. Settlement and Reconciliation

4. Card Issuing and Acquiring

5. Transaction Processing

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

7. Card Lifecycle Management
