Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.

- Develop and maintain JCL for batch job processing, scheduling, and execution.

- Work with IMS DB for database design, development, and data management activities.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Perform application enhancements, debugging, and production issue resolution.

- Develop, execute, and monitor batch processes and ensure system reliability.

- Conduct code reviews and follow mainframe development standards and best practices.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support deployment activities.

- Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and application support teams.

- Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing application support.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL programming.

- Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) development and batch processing.

- Good knowledge of IMS DB database concepts and programming.

- Experience in mainframe application development, maintenance, and support.

- Understanding of COBOL-IMS DB integration and transaction processing.

- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

- Knowledge of mainframe development tools and utilities.

- Good understanding of SDLC processes and production support activities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
