We are seeking a highly skilled Development Project Lead with a strong background in Software Development and a deep expertise in Mainframe IMS DBA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software development projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions while managing a team of developers.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, with a focus on Mainframe IMS database management.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish timelines.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and database management.

- Engage with stakeholders to communicate project status, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to project plans.

- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Mainframe technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong expertise in Mainframe IMS DBA, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Proficient in software development methodologies and practices, with a focus on Agile and DevOps principles.

- Experience with programming languages relevant to Mainframe environments, such as COBOL, JCL, and REXX.

- Solid understanding of database management systems and data modeling techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with modern software development tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with cloud technologies and their integration with Mainframe systems.

- Knowledge of additional database management systems beyond IMS, such as DB2 or Oracle.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
