Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS to develop, maintain, and support enterprise-grade mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe environments and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.

- Develop and support batch and online applications using COBOL and CICS.

- Create and maintain JCLs for batch processing and scheduling.

- Develop and optimize DB2 queries and database objects.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Perform code reviews, debugging, and defect resolution.

- Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL programming.

- Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language).

- Experience with DB2 and SQL.

- Hands-on experience with CICS development and support.

- Knowledge of VSAM file handling.

- Experience working on IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.

- Strong debugging skills using tools such as Xpediter or Abend-AID.

- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have :

- IMS DB / IMS DC knowledge.

- Experience with Control-M or other scheduling tools.

- Exposure to Mainframe DevOps tools and automation.

- Knowledge of REXX, Easytrieve, Assembler, or PL/1.

- Experience with ChangeMan, Endevor, or version control tools.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

Preferred Notice Period :

- Immediate to 30 Days preferred.
