Job Title : Mainframe Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both online and batch processing environments and be capable of handling end-to-end application development, maintenance, and support activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.

- Work on end-to-end development and enhancement of business-critical applications.

- Develop and support online applications using CICS.

- Create, modify, and maintain programs using COBOL, DB2, and JCL.

- Handle batch processing jobs, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.

- Provide production support and resolve application issues efficiently.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe technologies.

- 2+ years of strong hands-on experience in CICS.

- 3+ years of experience in COBOL, DB2, and JCL.

- Strong understanding of Mainframe architecture and application development.

- Experience in both online (frontend) and batch processing environments.

- Hands-on experience in end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Exposure to production support and application modernization initiatives.

- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques in Mainframe applications.
