Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain COBOL programs to support core banking applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Design and implement DB2 database solutions, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity for critical business processes.

- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe applications, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

- Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Participate in code reviews and testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered solutions, reducing defects and improving user satisfaction.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, facilitating knowledge sharing and ensuring maintainability of applications.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in COBOL programming, enabling the development and maintenance of complex mainframe applications.

- Strong experience with DB2 database design and development, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to mainframe systems, minimizing disruptions to business operations.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, facilitating effective teamwork and stakeholder management.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture.

- Experience with JCL, VSAM, and other mainframe utilities is highly desirable.
