Role Overview :

The Mainframe Automation Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing and modernizing our clients' mainframe environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex automation solutions that enhance system availability and reduce manual intervention.

Working closely with infrastructure teams and system programmers, you will ensure that the mainframe ecosystem remains stable, efficient, and aligned with business requirements. This position is pivotal in driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless service delivery for high-stakes enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy automated solutions using IBM System Automation and Netview to streamline daily mainframe operations and minimize downtime.

- Develop and maintain sophisticated REXX scripts to automate routine system tasks, batch processing, and complex troubleshooting workflows.

- Configure and manage OPS/MVS to enhance event management and system monitoring, ensuring proactive resolution of potential performance bottlenecks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation strategies that increase overall system throughput.

- Provide expert-level technical support for mainframe automation incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of services and root cause analysis for complex system issues.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing and automating large-scale mainframe environments with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.

- Advanced proficiency in REXX programming and a deep understanding of IBM System Automation, OPS/MVS, and Netview configurations.

- Strong analytical capabilities to translate complex operational requirements into scalable, automated workflows.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategies to stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a hybrid work environment in Pune or Hyderabad.

- Proven ability to adapt to evolving enterprise technologies and maintain high standards of system integrity and security.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in systems engineering.
