Duties and Responsibilities :
- Requirements Gathering : Conduct in-depth analysis and effectively gather requirements for system changes (specifically for business applications) from various user functions and departments.
- GL & Financial Systems Understanding : Possess a strong understanding of General Ledger (GL) systems and their functionalities, serving as a key resource for financial application changes.
- Data Analysis & Gap Identification : Identify existing data gaps, particularly in relation to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) solutions, and work towards remediation.
- Database Operations : Demonstrate working knowledge of basic Database Ingress & Hygiene operations to ensure data integrity and quality for financial systems.
- BRD Preparation & Management : Take ownership of preparing comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) as per documented requirements.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Liaison : Facilitate the closure of BRDs with the IT team and external vendors. Act as a primary point of contact for clarifying queries raised by IT and vendor teams.
- UAT Management : Conduct thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) independently and secure UAT sign-off from end-users, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Project Handling (IT & Automation) : Lead or actively participate in projects related to IT developments and business automation initiatives.
- Emerging Technologies Implementation : Apply knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and ML (Machine Learning) to projects, having previously worked in implementing these kinds of automations.
- Production Support : Provide ongoing production support for business applications post-implementation, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operation.
Specialized Skills & Competencies :
- Prior experience 7+ yrs in implementing financial projects within the General Insurance (GI) industry is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger (GL) systems and financial reporting processes.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of basic Database Ingress & Hygiene operations.
- Proven experience with RPA, AI, and ML technologies, with a clear understanding of their application in business automation.
- Exposure to key GI industry applications such as ERP systems, Policy Administration Systems (PAS), Claims Applications, CRM, Website portals, Agent portals, and Chatbot functionalities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
