Job Title : IBM i AS400 Cobol ILE Sr Developer - Offshore

Job Summary :

Experience up to 8 years and min 5 years of experience in Mandatory Skills : IBM i AS400 Development, COBOL400, COBOL ILE, SQL400, Query400.

Strong working knowledge in DB2400, ILE Concepts, Display Files, Sub Files, Printer Files, Embedded SQL. Additional Skills : Aldon, MQ Series is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- iSeries Development : Expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL, ILE CL, database DB2.

- Knowledge of iSeries APIs, Data queues, User queues, multithreading, Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc.

- Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus.

- Functional Requirements and perform requirement analysis.

- Estimate and Monitor Estimates.

- Work with Business teams to prioritize work.

- Prepare detailed design documentation.

- Reporting and tracking of assignments.

- Fix high priority issues.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 1. Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

- 2. iSeries Development : Expertise in technologies such as AS400, ILE COBOL, ILE CL, C, database DB2.

- 3. COBOL400, COBOL ILE.

- 4. SQL400, Query400, Strong working knowledge in DB2400.

- 5. ILE Concepts.

- 6. Display Files, Sub Files, Printer Files.

- 7. Embedded SQL.

- 8. Knowledge of iSeries APIs, Data queues, User queues, multithreading, Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc.

- 9. Working on production support is an added advantage for this role.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in financial services/lending domain.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional SDLC methodologies.

- Exposure to modernization tools or microservices even at concept level.
