The LiDAR Systems Engineer will be responsible for system-level development, integration, and validation of LiDAR sensors within ADAS and autonomous vehicle platforms.

The role involves defining system architecture, sensor performance requirements, data processing frameworks, and ensuring seamless integration with perception, fusion, and vehicle control systems.

The position requires strong collaboration with hardware, perception software, vehicle integration, and validation teams to deliver high-performance, production-ready sensing solutions aligned with global automotive standards.

Responsibilities :

- Define LiDAR system architecture and technical specifications for ADAS and autonomous applications.

- Develop and manage system requirements, interfaces, and performance metrics.

- Lead sensor integration into vehicle E/E architecture and perception stack.

- Support calibration, validation, and verification activities in lab and vehicle environments.

- Collaborate with sensor fusion and perception teams for object detection, tracking, and classification improvements.

- Perform system-level testing including environmental, vibration, thermal, and EMC validation.

- Conduct FMEA, risk assessments, and functional safety alignment (ISO 26262).

- Support supplier evaluation, benchmarking, and technical reviews.

- Drive cost, scalability, and production readiness initiatives.

Technical Expertise Required :

- LiDAR Sensor Technologies (Mechanical, Solid-State, Flash, MEMS)

- ADAS / Autonomous Vehicle Systems

- Sensor Fusion & Perception Algorithms

- Point Cloud Processing & Data Analysis

- Vehicle Network Protocols (CAN, Ethernet)

- Functional Safety (ISO 26262)

- System Engineering & Requirement Management (DOORS, Polarion)

- MATLAB / Python / C++ for data analysis and validation

- Automotive SPICE exposure preferred

Qualifications :

- 512+ years of experience in LiDAR systems, ADAS, or autonomous vehicle programs

- Experience with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or AV technology companies preferred

- Strong understanding of vehicle integration and validation processes
