Location : Bangalore (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Lead / Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale production-grade AI/ML systems. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in machine learning and deep learning, along with the ability to architect AI solutions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-world business impact.

Key Responsibilities :

AI / ML Model Development :

- Design, develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models for real-world applications.

- Work on LLMs, NLP, Transformers, Computer Vision, or recommendation systems based on business needs.

- Select appropriate algorithms, architectures, and evaluation metrics for different problem statements.

- Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model optimization.

Advanced AI & Research :

- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, generative AI, and deep learning research.

- Experiment with pre-trained models, transfer learning, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.

- Translate research ideas into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Model Deployment & MLOps :

- Build and manage end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoring.

- Deploy models using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Implement model versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining strategies.

- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of AI systems in production.

Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Design and deploy AI workloads on AWS / Azure / GCP.

- Work with cloud services for compute (GPU/TPU), storage, data pipelines, and ML platforms.

- Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.

System Design & Architecture :

- Architect scalable AI platforms and microservices-based solutions.

- Collaborate with backend, frontend, data engineering, and product teams.

- Define best practices for AI system design, coding standards, and documentation.

Leadership & Mentoring :

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

- Conduct code reviews, model reviews, and architecture discussions.

- Drive technical decision-making and guide the team on best practices.

- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 7 to 12 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related roles

- Strong proficiency in Python

- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch

- Deep understanding of :

- Machine Learning algorithms

- Deep Learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers)

- LLMs, NLP, Computer Vision, or Generative AI

- Experience with MLOps tools and practices

- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD

- Cloud experience with AWS / Azure / GCP

Problem-Solving & Algorithms :

- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques

- Ability to analyze complex problems and propose scalable AI solutions

- Experience handling real-world challenges such as data quality, bias, latency, and model drift

Nice to Have :

- Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, vector databases

- Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, or large-scale data processing

- AI certifications or advanced degrees in Computer Science / AI / Data Science

- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
