SAP S/4HANA Record to Report (RTR) Lead

Location : Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Noida (Hybrid/Primarily Remote)

Role Overview :

As the SAP S/4HANA RTR Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the design, implementation, and optimization of the Record-to-Report workstream. With over 12 years of expertise, you will serve as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders, ensuring that financial processes are streamlined using SAP Best Practices. This role requires a deep technical understanding of S/4HANA Finance and Controlling, combined with the leadership acumen to drive complex, global engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Solution Leadership : Lead the end-to-end RTR workstream, covering General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cash Management.

- Controlling Excellence : Drive complex CO processes, including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and sophisticated Product Costing.

- Advanced Analytics : Design and implement Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and S/4HANA Margin Analysis to provide deep business insights.

- Integration Management : Ensure seamless integration between RTR and other functional areas such as Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and Order-to-Cash (OTC), specifically regarding Material Ledger functionality.

- Strategic Advisory : Analyze complex business data and challenges to recommend solutions that align with SAP Best Practices and long-term business goals.

- Reporting & BI : Collaborate with technical teams to define reporting requirements and integrate SAP S/4HANA data effectively with SAP BW/BI or other enterprise reporting tools.

- Methodology : Apply the SAP Activate Roadmap specifically for Central Finance and S/4HANA transformations.

- Stakeholder Engagement : Lead customer engagements at the executive level, establishing rapport and persuading stakeholders through expert domain knowledge and clear communication.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Experience :

- Minimum 10+ years of dedicated experience in the SAP RTR workstream with at least 12 years of overall professional experience.

- S/4HANA Mastery : Proven experience in S/4HANA implementations and support. SAP S/4HANA Certification is mandatory.

- Product Costing Specialist : Extensive knowledge of end-to-end Product Costing processes and Material Ledger.

- Working knowledge of the SAP Activate Roadmap for Central Finance implementations.

- Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Soft Skills & Leadership :

- Ability to lead meetings and presentations for C-suite and executive-level audiences.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven track record in facilitating workshops, negotiating project scopes, and managing diverse team dynamics.

- A team-first mindset with the ability to mentor junior consultants and foster a collaborative environment.
