Job Summary :

Role : Release Management.

We are seeking a Release Manager to orchestrate our software delivery process.

Candidate will be responsible for managing release schedules, mitigating risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deployments.

The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in ServiceNow for change governance, Azure DevOps or GitLab for CI/CD automation, and a strong focus on integrating QA automation tools into the release pipeline.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Release Governance & Workflow : Operationalize and maintain the release process using the ServiceNow Release Management module, ensuring all changes adhere to ITIL-based governance and approval standards.

- CAB Leadership & Partnership : Act as the lead representative for engineering during Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.

- You will present high-risk changes, justify deployment windows, and secure formal approval for production releases.

- Pipeline Orchestration : Manage and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines) or GitLab CI/CD to streamline code promotion across environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production).

- QA & Quality Gates : Collaborate with QA teams to enforce "Go/No-Go" quality gates, ensuring that automated test suites (functional, regression, performance) in tools like Selenium or Junit are successfully completed before deployment.

- Release Planning : Maintain a centralized Release Calendar to manage interdependencies across multiple product lines and infrastructure updates.

- Risk & Incident Management : Conduct risk assessments for every release and manage rollback procedures using Azure DevOps or GitLab if production issues occur.

- Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for release status, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leading post-release reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Platform Expertise : Proven experience with the ServiceNow ITSM suite for change management and Azure DevOps or GitLab for pipeline management.

- Technical Knowledge : Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and branching/merging strategies (Git).

- Automation : Ability to integrate QA tools and security scanners into existing pipelines to automate validation.

- Certifications (Preferred) : ITIL Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
