About the Role :

As a Lead React Native Engineer, you will own the mobile engineering charter, drive technical architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and build scalable AI-native mobile experiences used by millions of users.

You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and AI teams to architect and deliver high-performance mobile applications while ensuring engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and maintainability across the mobile platform.

What We Are Looking For :

- 6+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years of hands-on as lead

- Proven experience leading mobile application development and mentoring engineering teams

- Strong expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and scalable mobile architecture patterns

- Deep understanding of WebSockets, real-time communication systems, and event-driven architectures

- Experience building and scaling production applications on both Android and iOS

- Strong knowledge of SQLite, WatermelonDB, offline-first architecture, and data synchronization patterns

- Expertise in Android performance optimization, debugging, and memory management

- Experience with Redux, Zustand, MobX, or equivalent state management frameworks

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and mobile deployment best practices

- Ability to design dynamic, data-driven UI systems and AI-powered user experiences

- Experience working in high-growth startups or fast-paced product environments is preferred

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of mobile platform

- Drive technical decisions and establish engineering best practices across the mobile team

- Build scalable chat interfaces and AI-native mobile experiences

- Architect real-time communication layers capable of handling millions of interactions

- Design robust local storage, synchronization, and conflict-resolution mechanisms

- Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience across Android and iOS platforms

- Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions

- Collaborate closely with AI, Backend, Product, and Design teams to deliver seamless user experiences

- Own mobile release cycles, quality standards, observability, and production stability

- Contribute to hiring and scaling the mobile engineering team
