Position : Lead Data Scientist
Division & Department : Enabling Functions_Business Technology Group (BTG)
Reporting To : Commercial and Customer Experience Products Leader
Educational Qualifications : Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field with 8 to 10 years of relevant work Experience.
Role And Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to develop data science strategies tailored to business and customer needs.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable, production-ready machine learning and statistical models focused on real-time IoT data streams and predictive analytics.
- Develop end-to-end ML pipeline encompassing Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Feature Engineering, model building, and validation.
- Leverage large volumes of industrial sensor and operational data to develop insights that enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee data quality, model performance, and continuous improvements in data analytics processes within the IoT platform.
- Guide and support process engineers in modeling ML pipelines, ensuring seamless integration into production environments.
- Lead end-to-end product feature development using Python and model development, including
- MLOps
Critical Competencies :
- Proven experience leading data science projects, preferably in Industrial IoT, manufacturing, or related domains.
- Strong proficiency in machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and data analysis techniques applied to sensor or time-series data.
- Programming Languages/Databases MongoDB, MySQL, Python
- Packages : Pandas, Numpy, SkLearn, Scikit-learn
- Analytical Platform Tableau or Power BI
- Cloud Platforms Azure or AWS, or Databricks
- Must have a deeper understanding of Regression, Classification, and Clustering Algorithms.
- Experience in building Machine Learning and Deep Learning end-to-end pipelines on cloud (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to lead initiatives independently, think strategically, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrate customer focus, willingness to learn, and adapt to new technologies and unique challenges.
