Lead Data Engineer

About the Role :

We are hiring a Lead Data Engineer to build and scale enterprise-grade data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll work on ETL pipelines, cloud data infrastructure, and large-scale data processing while mentoring a team and driving delivery.

What Youll Do :

- Lead ETL development, data pipelines & production support

- Design and manage cloud-based data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

- Build and optimize data warehouses (Snowflake / Redshift)

- Develop scalable pipelines using PySpark, SSIS, Matillion, SnapLogic

- Implement data modeling (SCD Type 1/2/3, dimensional modeling)

- Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability

- Support analytics & reporting (Tableau / Power BI)

- Work closely with business & analytics stakeholders

- Lead teams, conduct code reviews & mentor engineers

- Drive root-cause analysis and issue resolution

Must Have (Non-Negotiable)

- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL

- Minimum 3+ years in Pharma / Life Sciences domain

- Strong expertise in ETL tools (SSIS / Matillion / SnapLogic)

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

- Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake / Redshift)

- Strong knowledge of data modeling (SCD Type 1/2/3)

- Hands-on experience with PySpark / Big Data processing

- Proven experience in data pipeline optimization & scalability

- 2+ years of team handling / mentoring experience

- Experience working with business stakeholders & analytics teams

Good to Have :

- Experience in Tableau / Power BI

- Exposure to data operations / production support environments

- Background in consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte, etc.)

- Compensation : Inclusive of 10% variable pay
