Job Summary :

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js/Nest.js. to join our team. This is a pivotal role that requires complete hands-on involvement in developing and architecting backend solutions. As a key team member, you'll have the opportunity to drive our technological evolution and take on a leadership role in shaping the future.

Responsibilities and Duties :

- Lead the end-to-end development of robust and scalable backend systems using Nest.js, ensuring code quality and performance.

- Design and implement efficient APIs and microservices that power our frontend, mobile apps, and other consumer-facing products.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, ensure seamless integration, and drive architectural decisions.

- Take complete ownership of critical backend components, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability.

- Develop and maintain databases, optimizing data storage, and ensuring smooth data retrieval for various applications.

- Act as a technical lead, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering their growth and skills enhancement.

- Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high standards of reliability, security, and efficiency.

Requirements :

- C++ Developer, STL, RAII, Data Structure, Design Pattern, Low-Latency, High-Availability

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4 to 6 years of extensive hands-on experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js/Nest.js.

- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

- Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) with experience in database design and optimization. Postgres expertise to be specific.

- Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP). We are on GCP.

- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of making critical technical decisions independently.

- Proven track record of hands-on involvement in all aspects of backend development.

Preferred Qualifications :

- C++ Developer, STL, RAII, Data Structure, Design Pattern, Low-Latency, High-Availability

- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.

- Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT).

- Previous experience in a startup environment or contributing to product growth in early stages.

- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to drive technological initiatives.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes which we are not using right now.
