Duties & Responsibilities :
- Define the enterprise MDM architecture and strategy across STIBO STEP platform, data governance frameworks, integration patterns, and synchronization with enterprise systems including, e-commerce, analytics platforms, and third-party marketplaces.
- Establish data governance and stewardship frameworks with comprehensive data quality rules, golden record strategies, match/merge/survivorship algorithms, data lineage tracking, data standardization (GDSN/GS1), and role-based access policies for data domains spanning retail merchandising and supply chain.
- Architect STIBO STEP platform capabilities including data modeling best practices, hierarchical classification structures, workflow automation, business rule engines, validation frameworks, API strategies, event-driven data distribution, and real-time syndication patterns for omnichannel commerce.
- Govern product data lifecycle including data onboarding pipelines, enrichment workflows, quality validation
checkpoints, approval routing, exception handling, historical versioning, change tracking, audit trails, and compliance reporting across product information management (PIM), supplier/vendor master, and customer master domains.
- Secure STIBO STEP platform and data assets through identity and access management (IAM), SSO integration (SAML, OAuth), API security (OAuth2, JWT), data encryption (at-rest and in transit), data masking for sensitive attributes, and vulnerability management aligned with enterprise security baselines.
- Operationalize MDM observability and monitoring by integrating platform telemetry into monitoring systems, establishing data quality dashboards, alerting on SLA breaches, tracking integration performance, and instrumenting business process metrics for data stewardship and operational teams.
- Drive data integration architecture encompassing real-time and batch patterns, API management, event streaming (Kafka, Solace, Azure Event Hub), ETL/ELT orchestration, data lake/warehouse synchronization (Snowflake), and third-party data enrichment services (WERCS, Salsify, Syndigo).
- Establish PIM and DAM best practices for product content management including digital asset workflows, rich media handling (images, videos, documents), localized attributes, taxonomy and classification management, product relationship modeling, and syndication to e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
- Partner with business stakeholders including Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, IT, and Compliance teams to translate business requirements into scalable MDM solutions, balance data governance rigor with operational agility, and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy
Requirements :
Basic Qualifications :
- Proficient in Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks, methodologies, and industry standards including data governance, data quality management, reference and master data management, and multi-domain MDM architecture.
- Extensive experience with STIBO STEP platform (version 9.x or higher) covering solution architecture, data modeling, business rules configuration, workflow design, integration patterns, performance tuning and upgrade strategies.
- Experience: 10+ years in data management and enterprise architecture; 5+ years architecting large-scale MDM implementations; 3+ years specifically with STIBO STEP platform in retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
- Depth in data governance and stewardship: Data quality frameworks, golden record management, match/merge algorithms, survivorship rules, data lineage and impact analysis, metadata management, and data catalog implementation.
- Architecture-driven mindset: Expertise in designing enterprise integration architecture (REST APIs, GraphQL, event streaming, ETL/ELT), microservices patterns, API gateways, message brokers, data lake/warehouse strategies, and real-time data synchronization.
- Retail and e-commerce domain expertise: Deep understanding of product information management (PIM), product lifecycle management (PLM), supplier/vendor management, pricing and promotions, omnichannel fulfillment, digital asset management (DAM), and catalog syndication requirements.
- Leadership & communication: Proven ability to lead enterprise architecture programs, influence stakeholders and business leaders, write comprehensive architecture documentation, facilitate design workshops, and engineers across distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
- In addition to above basic qualifications
- STIBO STEP Architect certification or equivalent advanced certifications demonstrating platform expertise.
- AI/ML for data quality: Familiarity with usage of AI for automated data matching, classification, entity resolution, and data quality scoring.
- Retail industry knowledge: Deep understanding of retail merchandising systems, assortment planning, product content enrichment, supplier collaboration platforms, and omnichannel commerce data flows.
- Thought leadership: Published articles, conference speaking, or community contributions in MDM, PIM, or data governance domains
