Lead Adaptive Architect - Individual Contributor

Job Description :

The Lead Architect is one of three leaders who own the Adaptive transformation end to end, alongside the SVP Engineering and the Adaptive product lead. This person sets the technical and architectural direction for Adaptive ERP and keeps every workstream pointed at one target architecture. It is a senior, versatile role : deep enough in ERP to understand decades of product history, and modern enough to lead it toward a cloud-native future.

Responsibilities :

- Set the architectural vision and technical strategy for Adaptive ERP and its transformation.

- Keep technical decisions aligned across ERP functional, platform, Lynx and Extensions, quality, and infrastructure workstreams.

- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to define outcomes, sequence work, surface dependencies, and make architectural trade-offs.

- Lead modernization of the platform, deployment model, data, and integrations while protecting upgradeability, security, and reliability.

- Set architectural standards and guide the architects embedded across engineering areas.

- Work with customers, Services, and partners to understand transformation challenges and turn them into engineering priorities and durable product capabilities.

- Explain complex technical decisions to executives, customers, and partners in clear business terms.

Required :

- Deep architecture experience with a major enterprise ERP product, including how business processes, application behavior, data, integrations, and deployment fit together.

- Strong understanding of enterprise products, including customizations, upgrades, and modernization.

- A proven record leading the modernization of a mature enterprise product toward cloud and SaaS.

- Strong grounding in modern architecture, including cloud platforms (AWS preferred), services, APIs, extensibility, data, and DevOps.

- Experience building or evolving tooling and platform capabilities that address common customer needs.

- The judgment and presence to operate as an accountable peer to senior Engineering and Product leaders.

Preferred :

- Experience at SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or a comparable ERP provider.

- Manufacturing ERP experience.

- Experience applying AI in software development and in enterprise products.

- Migration experience; broader experience translating customer transformation needs into durable product and platform capabilities is also relevant.
