Job Description :

The Lab Systems Specialist position will work as part of an application support and development team to provide comprehensive and in-depth support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) used by Specialty Laboratory departments and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for users, stakeholders, operations and IT.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Configure and Maintain LIMS technical data and definitions for lab operations

- Provide Technical Support & Troubleshooting for LIMS issues

- Work with software developers and users to gather and document requirements for enhancement requests

- Perform Testing and Validation of LIMS configuration and/or coding changes

- Work with lab operations/stakeholders to review, prioritize and manage backlog of bugs, enhancements, releases, and projects

- Serve as a Liaison and Communicator with both lab operations and other non-user teams to provide information and understanding about the LIMS environment, functions, and interactions with other systems

Requirements :

- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field

- Minimum 5 years of experience working with laboratory information systems

- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience with application lifecycle management and Agile software development

- Experience with HL7 (preferred)

- Experience working in a laboratory environment with laboratory equipment and instrument interface a plus

- Experience with SQL a plus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Able to provide support after-hours and on the weekend on a rotating basis as needed (required)
