Job Title : L2 Support - Desktop and Network Engineer


Experience : 2 - 4 years


Location : Bangalore


Job Summary :

We are looking for a talented L2 Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for desktops, networks, and IT systems. This role involves handling escalated issues from the L1 support team, ensuring smooth IT operations, and maintaining a secure and reliable infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities :


Technical Support & System Administration :

- Resolve complex technical issues escalated from L1 support within agreed timelines.

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, user-related, and network problems effectively.

- Manage and support Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing.

- Configure and administer Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Admin Console for endpoint/device

management.

- Deploy applications, security patches, and regular updates across endpoints.

- Monitor IT systems and ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.

- Document all incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.


- Collaborate with L3 teams and external vendors for advanced issue resolution.

- Ensure compliance with IT policies, processes, and SLAs.


Network Support :


- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.

- Troubleshoot network issues (IP conflicts, DNS/DHCP errors, connectivity failures).

- Manage Wi-Fi and VPN configurations, shared network folders, and remote access.

- Assist in firewall/security configurations in coordination with the L3/network security team.

- Liaise with ISP vendors to resolve network link issues and outages.


Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (client/server environments).

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft products : Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and

mailboxes.

- Familiarity with MDM/MAM policies, conditional access, and user/device management.

- Proficiency in Active Directory, group policies, and user management.

- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, and general networking concepts.

- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.

- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.



Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) :


- Relevant certifications : CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+/Security+.


- Exposure to IT security best practices and cloud services.
