Role : Solaris / Unix Infrastructure Security Specialist (L2)

Job description :

We are hiring an experienced Solaris / Unix Infrastructure Security Specialist to support enterprise server security across Solaris, Linux, Unix, and AIX environments.

The role requires strong hands-on exposure to server hardening, OS security standards, secure deployment practices, vulnerability remediation, and platform security advisory.

The ideal candidate should be able to work closely with platform engineering and infrastructure teams to improve the overall security posture of server environments, develop or support security standards, and ensure systems are aligned with enterprise security best practices.

Responsibilities :

- Provide security expertise for Solaris / Unix / Linux / AIX server environments

- Support development and maintenance of server security policies, standards, and hardening guidelines

- Work with CIS benchmarks, OEM hardening guidance, and security best practices

- Advise teams on secure server deployment and configuration

- Support security-by-design inputs during platform and infrastructure design

- Drive platform-level security improvements and help strengthen infrastructure security posture

- Support handling of vulnerabilities, security advisories, and remediation guidance

- Contribute to monitoring, posture improvement, and security effectiveness metrics

- Work across areas such as networking, authentication, encryption, directory services, and access controls

Required skills :

- 7+ years of overall experience

- Strong hands-on exposure to Solaris / Unix / Linux / AIX

- Good understanding of server security, OS hardening, and secure configuration practices

- Experience with CIS benchmarks, OEM hardening guidelines, and security baselines

- Experience in vulnerability remediation / server security advisory

- Understanding of networking, authentication mechanisms, cryptographic controls, and directory services

- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Optional / preferred skills :

- RHCSA / RHCE / CompTIA Server+ / Linux Professional Certification

- Exposure to regulated / enterprise-scale infrastructure environments

- Experience in security reporting, metrics, and posture tracking
