Scope EDB PostgreSQL Portfolio :

Technical expertise : Candidate should have architecting capability on Postgres and associated EDB software products as listed below.

- Core PostgreSQL Database Expertise : The candidate must have deep, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL versions 14, 15, 16,and 17

- High Availability (HA) and Replication : The resource must possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in configuring and maintaining PostgreSQL for high availability. Hands-on Experience on EFM and PGD will be good fit

- Back-up and Restore : Hands on experience on Barman

- Observability : Good knowledge on PEM

Project Execution :

- The job involves preparing project blue print, Risk assessment, defining Success Criteria, pre-requisites, create test scenarios, run performance testing, eliminate identified vulnerabilities and go live in production from EDB Postgres Database perspective.

Escalation Handling :

- Quick identification of root cause of any major outages, provide permanent solution or workaround to bring service back to normal, provide Root cause Analysis and suggest process improvement.

Major activities :

- To participate in major activities like upgrade, DR Drill, applying hot fixes at weekends and lean period of banking activities

Shift : The job may involve working in shift and planned downtimes.

Communication :

- As L2/L3 Engineer one need to interact with various stakeholders of Bank as well as leadership and EDB back ends. Clear communication skill is key to the success of the role.

Qualification :

- Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science or Related Field, BCA, MCA with strong technical hands-on capabilities.
