Role : Level 2 Network / Data Center Engineer - Cisco Focus

Location : Mahape, Navi Mumbai

Experience : 3- 5 Years

Work Environment : 24x7x365 (On-call rotation required)

We are looking for a skilled Level 2 Network / Data Center Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco technologies to support and maintain enterprise data center infrastructure.

Job Summary :

This role focuses on troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation of Cisco-based solutions, supporting network performance, virtualization, and data center resiliency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide Level 2 operational support for Cisco-based data center infrastructure including Nexus, UCS and ACI

- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network and server-related incidents

- Configure and maintain Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers

- Support Cisco UCS blade systems and integration with storage and compute environments

- Participate in data center migrations, upgrades and patch management activities

- Monitor network performance using tools such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds or similar

- Support Cisco ACI fabric configurations and troubleshooting

- Maintain updated network documentation, diagrams and device inventory

- Collaborate with L3 engineers and architects on design changes and deployments

- Follow change and incident management procedures as per organizational policies

Required Skills and Experience :

- 3- 5 years of enterprise network or data center support experience

- Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus (5K/7K/9K) and Catalyst series

- Experience with Cisco UCS servers and fabric interconnects

- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, VDCs, vPC and VXLAN preferred

- Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs and VRFs

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V

- Basic automation or scripting knowledge in Python or Ansible is an advantage

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Work Requirements :

- 24x7 support environment

- Participation in on-call rotation

- Occasional travel to data center sites

- Availability for after-hours or weekend support during critical incidents
