Mainframe L2 Support Resource

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe L2 Support professional to provide production support, incident management, and application troubleshooting for enterprise mainframe applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and standard mainframe support tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide L2 production support for mainframe applications.

- Monitor applications and troubleshoot production incidents and failures.

- Perform incident analysis, break-fix, and root-cause analysis.

- Troubleshoot COBOL programs, JCL jobs, database issues, and batch failures.

- Work with DB2 and VSAM for data investigation and issue resolution.

- Analyse job outputs, logs, and system reports to identify production issues.

- Use tools such as FileAid, FileManager, or FileMaster for data analysis and troubleshooting.

- Manage code and production changes using Changeman / Endevor.

- Use SAR for reviewing and analysing production reports and outputs.

- Handle file transfers and related issues using SFTP.

- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for timely incident resolution.

- Maintain incident documentation and follow production support processes.

Mandatory Skills :

- 4+ years of relevant experience in Mainframe L2 Production Support.

- Strong hands-on experience with: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2.

- Experience with FileAid / FileManager / FileMaster.

- Knowledge of Changeman / Endevor.

- Experience working with SAR and SFTP.

- Strong experience in incident management, break-fix, and application support.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
