Description :

The Linux Server Administrator (L2) is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux server environments, ensuring stability, security, and performance in line with customer policies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Create, manage, and delete network shares

- Manage user access controls, permissions, and space quotas

- Configure and maintain print servers and print queues

- Administer core services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, DFS, and group policies

- Perform OS recovery and restoration during system crashes using approved backup tools

- Troubleshoot system-level issues including hangs, disk failures, and performance degradation

- Coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware-related issues when required

- Apply OS patches and updates using centralized patch management tools or manual methods

- Conduct system performance tuning as per customer standards

- Ensure compliance with security and access control policies

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Linux server administration

- Hands-on knowledge of networking, storage, and OS-level services

- Experience with patching, backups, and system recovery

- Understanding of enterprise security policies and access controls

- Experience working with multiple Linux distributions
