The newly formed Technology Operations (TechOps) team is bridging the interface between our international

customer organization for K- rber pharmaceutical software and the internal product support, business solutions,

product infrastructure, and deployment operations teams. It acts as a one-stop shop for 2nd Level Support and

Escalation management team to ensure our customers receive best-in-class support and responses. The TechOps

vision is to ensure 24/7 operations of our PAS X-MES products and support in the SaaS and OnPrem environment.

Job Summary :

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the IT infrastructure supporting K- rbers PAS-X MES products in both On-Prem and SaaS environments. This role requires expertise in networking, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, automation, and security to ensure highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance system performance.

Your role in our team :

- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-prem solutions.

- Ensure high availability and scalability of systems to meet business needs.

- Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues before they impact business operations.

- Work closely with security teams to implement best practices for data protection, access control, and compliance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, including network, storage, and compute challenges.

- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and desktops using Citrix XenApp, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), and RDS.

- Optimize cost, performance, and security of infrastructure components.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies in English language.

- Support and enhance business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.

- Experience with enterprise environments and professional IT operations, including process frameworks such as ITIL.

- Create and manage virtual machines (VMs) in Windows and Linux environments.

- Manage VM snapshots and images, including creation, deletion, and reversion.

- Support Citrix and virtualization environments.

- Basic knowledge of Active Directory groups.

- Experience with OpenStack environments is preferred.

- Provide technical support and front-end internal customer interactions with excellent communication skills.

- Support and mentor team members in technical queries.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Experience :

- Minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or system administration.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem data centers.

- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Citrix, OpenStack).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and routing.

- Experience with storage and backup solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage, replication).

- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and automation tools.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (such as Nagios, PRTG, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, Grafana, etc.).

- Solid experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

- Strong experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure management.

- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

- Ability to design and implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions.

- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.

Certifications :

- Relevant infrastructure certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Azure Administrator) are a plus.
