Role Purpose :

The Head of AI / AI Engineering Lead will be responsible for building, deploying, and scaling AI-driven capabilities across Kettos product, marketing, operations, and fundraising ecosystem.

This role combines hands-on AI engineering with strategic leadership. You will design intelligent systems that improve donor conversion, personalize campaigns, automate internal workflows, and enable smarter decision-making across teams.

Key Responsibilities :

AI Strategy & Transformation :

- Define and execute Kettos roadmap to becoming an AI-first organization.

- Identify high-impact use cases for AI automation across:

- Donor engagement & retention

- Lead scoring & prioritization

- Campaign optimization

- Telecalling & WhatsApp intelligence

- Establish AI governance, best practices, and measurable business outcomes.

AI Product Development :

- Build and deploy AI-powered products such as :

1. Donor intent prediction & repeat donor scoring

2. Campaign success prediction & recommendation engines

3. AI-driven fundraising campaign optimization

4. Conversational AI across WhatsApp, chat, voice & email

- Automated impact report generation using LLMs

- Experiment with LLMs and GenAI for storytelling, personalization, and content automation.

- Integrate AI services seamlessly into existing product and CRM systems.

Data Infrastructure & ML Engineering :

- Design and maintain AI-ready data pipelines and infrastructure.

- Ensure unified, high-quality data across :

1. Donations, leads, campaigns, UTMs

2. Telecalling, WhatsApp, CRM interactions

- Work closely with Data & Engineering teams to :

1. Build APIs for model training and inference

2. Enable scalable ML deployment and retraining workflows

Automation & Internal Intelligence :

- Build internal AI copilots for :

1. Marketing & growth teams

2. Operations & telecalling teams

3. Customer support & reporting

- Develop workflow automation using :

1. LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines

2. Vector-based knowledge retrieval

- Create frameworks for prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and experimentation.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Ops, and Leadership teams.

- Mentor engineers and analysts on AI best practices.

- Evaluate AI vendors, open-source tools, and APIs for cost-performance optimisation.

- Communicate AI impact, roadmap, and insights to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years in AI/ML, Applied AI, or Data Science roles.

- Proven experience building and deploying real-world AI systems.

- Experience leading AI initiatives or transformation projects.

Technical Skills Hands-on expertise with :

- LLMs & GenAI (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Meta, etc.)

- LangChain / LlamaIndex / RAG architectures.

- Python, Node.js, or TypeScript for AI backend integration.

- Vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.

Strong understanding of :

- ML pipelines (data , model , deployment , feedback loop).

- MLOps & deployment (AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI, or similar).

- SQL & data platforms (Redshift, Airflow, dbt, Mixpanel, Metabase).

Core Strengths :

- Strong product mindset with business alignment.

- Ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.

- Excellent communication, ownership, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience in fintech, fundraising, marketplaces, or consumer tech.

- AI integration experience with CRM, marketing automation, or support tools.

- Startup experience or open-source contributions.
