About the Company :
We are seeking a proactive Business Analyst with 4-7 years of experience who can define functional requirements, support project planning, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in writing functional specs, working with cross-functional teams, and basic proficiency in SQL and Power BI to support reporting and analysis needs.
Responsibilities :
- Business & Functional Analysis : Elicit and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and research.
- Functional Specifications : Draft BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories with acceptance criteria, and system behaviour documentation.
- SQL & Data Analysis : Use basic SQL to query data for validation, analysis, and stakeholder insights.
- Collaborate with developers and data teams for accurate data mapping.
- Power BI Support : Assist in building or reviewing dashboards, validating data outputs, and supporting business stakeholders in leveraging BI reports.
- Project Planning Assistance : Work with project managers to define scope, prioritize features, track milestones, and update timelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Act as a liaison between business users, tech teams, and QA to ensure shared understanding and smooth delivery.
- Process Improvement : Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements through data-backed insights and process mapping.
- Testing & UAT : Prepare test cases, support user acceptance testing, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 4-7 years experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to full SDLC.
- Solid understanding of writing functional specifications and process flows.
- Basic knowledge of SQL - able to write simple queries, joins, and filters.
- Experience using Power BI - able to interpret dashboards and assist in data storytelling.
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
Required Skills :
- Domain knowledge in BFSI, Healthcare, Logistics, Retail or Manufacturing (or any other industry).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, KPIs, and data validation.
- Certifications like CBAP, CCBA
