About the Role :

Kale Logistics is looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer / Senior DevOps Engineer to manage our cloud infrastructure, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and automation processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure Cloud, building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring efficient deployment, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications. You will play a critical role in enhancing our engineering practices by fostering automation, improving deployment speed, and optimizing system reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

Azure Cloud Infrastructure :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on Azure.

- Ensure optimal use of cloud services to support both production and development environments.

CI/CD Pipeline Development

- Build, manage, and enhance robust CI/CD pipelines to automate code deployment, testing, and delivery across environments.

- Use tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.

Automation & Scripting :

- Automate repetitive tasks using Python to streamline infrastructure management, monitoring, and reporting.

Configuration Management :

- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates.

Monitoring & Logging :

- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Track performance, detect issues, and ensure system reliability.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure all DevOps processes comply with industry standards and best practices for security and compliance.

- Conduct regular auditing and secure access to cloud resources.

Incident Management :

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, bottlenecks, and performance inefficiencies.

- Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimise downtime and ensure business continuity.

Collaboration

- Work closely with software development, QA, and operations teams to align DevOps strategies with business and project goals.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

- Introduce best practices to improve DevOps processes, system scalability, and performance.

Requirements :

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with strong expertise in Azure Cloud services.

- Proven experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.

- Expertise in cloud infrastructure management on Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, etc.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automating cloud infrastructure tasks.

- Good understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Azure Log Analytics.

- Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.

- Experience with security best practices: encryption, key management, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with serverless technologies such as Azure Functions or AWS Lambda.

- Knowledge of cloud cost optimisation strategies.

- Familiarity with microservices architecture and related DevOps strategies.
