Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Consultant with 5 - 6 years of hands-on experience in building and managing distributed streaming platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Apache Kafka and related ecosystem tools, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage Kafka-based data streaming solutions

- Work extensively with Kafka components including brokers, partitions, offsets, and consumer groups

- Ensure high availability through replication, retention policies, and exactly-once semantics

- Set up and manage infrastructure across Linux, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), or Kubernetes

- Develop and integrate applications using Java, Python, or Node.js

- Utilize Kafka ecosystem tools such as Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry

- Handle data serialization formats including Avro, JSON, and Protobuf

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment

- Monitor systems using observability tools and perform log analysis

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed environments

- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams

- Manage multiple initiatives independently with strong documentation practices

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 - 6 years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Open-source or Confluent)

- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture and core concepts

- Experience with cloud platforms or containerized environments (Kubernetes)

- Proficiency in at least one programming language : Java, Python, or Node.js

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD tools

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
