Junior Application Monitoring Engineer - Incident Management

Job Overview :

We are seeking a Junior Application Monitoring Engineer with strong hands-on experience in application and infrastructure monitoring. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of applications through effective monitoring solutions, dashboards, alerts, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor application and infrastructure health to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.

- Design, create, and maintain monitoring dashboards and reports using tools such as Grafana and Datadog.

- Implement and manage alerts, thresholds, and notification mechanisms to proactively identify issues.

- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.

- Support incident detection, troubleshooting, and resolution in collaboration with engineering teams.

- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve observability and monitoring coverage.

- Maintain documentation for monitoring setups, dashboards, and alerting standards.

- Continuously improve monitoring strategies and reporting for better system visibility.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

- 35 years of experience in Application and Infrastructure Monitoring.

- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as:

- Grafana

- Datadog

- Splunk

- Strong understanding of:

- Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

- Infrastructure monitoring concepts

- Logs, metrics, and traces

- Experience with alerting, threshold management, and incident handling processes.

- Ability to create meaningful reports and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience supporting production environments with 24x7 monitoring.

- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with ITIL or incident management workflows.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
