- Required Experience: 36 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases in on-premise and AWS environments.

- Monitor and optimize the performance of databases, including proactive identification and resolution of issues to maintain high availability and performance.

- Design, develop, and implement databases in AWS Cloud environments such as RDS, aligning with the best scalability, security, and performance practices.

- Perform data migrations from existing databases to AWS, ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity.

- Manage database performance tuning, optimization, indexing, and query performance.

- Implement and manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability (HA) solutions.

- Monitor database health and troubleshoot production issues.

- Implement database security best practices, user access control, and compliance standards.

- Support database migrations and upgrades.

- Maintain documentation for database architecture and procedures.

Required Skill-Set :

- 3 to 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

- In depth knowledge of AWS services such as - EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM.

- Experience with observation and monitoring solutions such as datadog, new relec.

- Proficiency with SQL and other database technologies, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (installation, configuration, tuning, HA/DR).

- Experience with database backup/recovery strategies.

- Performance tuning and query optimization expertise.

- Experience with database tools such as dbeaver, Mysql workbench, Oracletoad, SQL Server Management Studio.

- Knowledge of SQL scripting and automation.

- Experience in production database support.

- Strong problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

- Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle Multi-tenant Database is nice to have.

- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
