JDEdwards CNC Administrator

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced JD Edwards CNC Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) environments. The role involves tools upgrades, platform migrations (32-bit to 64-bit), environment administration, and ongoing managed services support.

You will work closely with application, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, performance, and continuous improvement across JD Edwards environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments across multiple releases

i. Perform core CNC activities

ii. Environment setup and configuration

iii. Object Management Workbench (OMW) operations

iv. Package builds and deployments

v. Printer setup and configuration

vi. UDO (User Defined Objects) management

vii. Data dictionary changes and maintenance

viii. Configure and manage E1 Scheduler jobs and batch processing

- Tools Upgrade & Platform Migration :

i. Lead and support JD Edwards Tools Release upgrades

ii. Execute 32-bit to 64-bit conversions ensuring minimal downtime

iii. Plan and perform system upgrades with :

a. Risk assessment

b. Rollback strategies

c. Post-upgrade validation

iv. Apply Service Packs, ASUs, and ESUs

- Infrastructure & Platform Support :

i. Administer JD Edwards on :

a. Windows and Linux environments

ii. Manage application servers such as :

a. Oracle WebLogic Server

b. IBM WebSphere Application Server

iii. Support web, enterprise, and deployment servers

- Security & Identity Management :

i. Administer JD Edwards security configurations

ii. Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls

iii. Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations (e.g., Azure AD)

iv. Work with third-party tools such as :

a. ALLOUT Security

b. QSoftware (QSoft)

- Cloud & Hosting Support :

i. Install, configure, and support JD Edwards environments on cloud platforms :

a. Oracle IaaS

b. AWS

c. Azure

ii. Optimize infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency

- Database & System Integration :

i. Support database environments :

a. Oracle Database

b. SQL Server

ii. Coordinate with DBAs for performance tuning, backups, and recovery

iii. Ensure smooth integration with enterprise applications

- Managed Services & Support :

i. Provide L2/L3 support for production environments

ii. Handle :

a. Incident management

b. Problem resolution

c. Change requests

iii. Troubleshoot issues in large-scale, integrated E1 environments

iv. Ensure adherence to SLAs and support processes

- Collaboration & Communication :

i. Work closely with :

a. Application teams

b. Development teams

c. Infrastructure teams

ii. Participate in project planning, deployments, and upgrades

iii. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and end users

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in JD Edwards CNC Administration

- Strong hands-on experience in :

i. Tools Release upgrades

ii. 32-bit to 64-bit conversion

- Experience managing multiple JDE release environments

- Strong expertise in :

i. Package builds and deployments

ii. OMW and object management

iii. ESU/ASU installs and patching

- Experience supporting Windows and Linux platforms

- Experience in at least one full-cycle JDE implementation

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with :

i. Azure AD SSO integration

ii. Third-party security tools (ALLOUT / QSoftware)

- Exposure to :

i. Oracle WebLogic / IBM WebSphere

ii. Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure)

- Basic knowledge of :

i. Oracle / SQL databases
