Job Description Java Production Support Engineer

Experience : 4-8 Years

Shift Timing : 9 : 30 PM 6 : 30 AM IST

Location : Hyderabad

Role : Production Support / L2L3 Support

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide 24/7 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.

- Perform incident management, problem analysis, and issue resolution within SLA.

- Troubleshoot issues across Java applications, UNIX/Linux servers, middleware components, and monitoring tools.

- Analyze and interpret error logs (Java logs, UNIX logs, middleware logs).

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide long-term fixes.

- Deploy and validate applications in OpenShift (basic knowledge required).

- Develop or modify Shell scripts for monitoring, automation, and operational tasks.

- Work with Dynatrace, Splunk and other monitoring tools to identify performance and stability issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

- Ensure application stability, reliability, and continuous monitoring during the assigned shift.

- Prepare documentation such as SOPs, knowledge articles, and incident reports.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience in Java application support (L2/L3).

- Good hands-on knowledge of UNIX/Linux.

- Shell Scripting (basic to intermediate).

- Exposure to OpenShift / container environment.

- Experience with monitoring & analysis tools : Dynatrace, Splunk.

- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, server, and middleware layers.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with multiple stakeholders.

Good to Have Skills :

- Knowledge of middleware technologies (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins.

- Basic understanding of networking concepts and REST APIs
