Java Developer - Apache Beam

Job Description : Java Developer (Apache Beam | GCP)

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Beam and GCP to design, build, and optimize large scale, cloud - native data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in microservices, distributed architectures, CI/CD, and GCPs data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Apply deep understanding of cloud native, distributed, microservice based architectures to build scalable and resilient applications.

- Build strong partnerships with product, business, and sales teams; explain complex technical topics in a clear and concise manner.

- Collaborate with architects, SRE leads, and other technology leaders to establish strategic technical directions and best practices.

- Ensure compliance with secure software development standards and maintain QE, DevSecOps, and FinOps KPIs.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation-including support guides, runbooks, and end user materials. Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning and Retrospectives.

- Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines; apply infrastructure as code practices using Helm Charts and Terraform.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- 8+ years of software engineering experience.

- 8+ years of hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, debugging, and troubleshooting production systems.

- Strong experience in Apache Beam (GCP Dataflow) with ability to design and develop scalable data processing pipelines.

- Expertise in building microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes.

- Proficiency in deploying services via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and implementing IaC using Helm Charts and Terraform.

- Strong RDBMS knowledge - especially PostgreSQL (preferred).

- 8+ years of experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and building cloud native solutions.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in developing scalable batch processing solutions handling millions of records using Java + Apache Beam (Dataflow).

- Hands on experience with GCP big data tools : Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow.

- Self starter with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities with minimal supervision.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
