Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Application Support Engineer to join our team in Bangalore or Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Java-based applications. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents, implement fixes, and improve application performance. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and stability of our critical financial systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide timely and effective technical support to internal and external users, resolving application-related incidents and service requests to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Analyze application logs, debug code, and identify root causes of issues, utilizing tools like Kibana and POSTMAN to ensure efficient problem resolution.
- Develop and implement fixes, patches, and workarounds for identified issues, collaborating with the development team to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement, proactively addressing potential issues to enhance system stability and scalability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures, to empower users and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical applications, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid response to urgent issues.
- Support and troubleshoot Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and RESTful APIs.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Java-based applications, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Proven expertise in analyzing application logs and debugging code, utilizing tools like Kibana and POSTMAN to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of multithreading concepts and experience in troubleshooting multithreaded applications.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and experience in testing and troubleshooting APIs using POSTMAN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
