SAP Delivery Lead : Technology Consulting | SAP Practice | Senior Manager / Director

About the Role :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Delivery Lead to spearhead large-scale, complex SAP transformation programmes across the full SAP landscape. Operating at a Senior Manager / Director level within our Technology Consulting practice, the incumbent will own end-to-end delivery accountability across multiple concurrent workstreams, manage senior client relationships, and champion quality, commercials, and people development simultaneously. This is a highly visible, revenue-impacting role suited to a dynamic leader who combines deep technical SAP expertise with an enterprise consulting mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

Programme & Delivery Management :

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple simultaneous SAP programmes across S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, and adjacent modules.

- Establish and govern programme delivery frameworks (Activate, Agile, hybrid) ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality are tightly controlled.

- Lead integrated programme planning, dependency management, and critical path analysis across cross-functional workstreams.

- Define and enforce a robust governance model including Steering Committee cadence, RAID management, and executive reporting.

- Drive milestone-driven delivery by maintaining rigorous accountability structures across onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams.

SAP Technical & Functional Leadership :

- Provide architectural oversight across the full SAP landscape including SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement), SAP BTP, integration middleware (CPI/PI/PO), and adjacent third-party solutions.

- Guide solution design decisions, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices, clean core principles, and the client's enterprise architecture.

- Oversee technical quality gates - design sign-offs, build reviews, SIT/UAT planning, cutover strategy, and hypercare management.

- Provide guidance on data migration strategies (LTMC, BODS, custom migration objects) and ensure data quality frameworks are implemented.

- Champion adoption of SAP BTP, Fiori UX, and cloud-first integration patterns to future-proof client landscapes.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Serve as the primary point of escalation and trusted advisor for C-suite and senior leadership (CIO, CFO, COO) across client organisations.

- Build and sustain long-term strategic relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth, solution extensions, and follow-on engagements.

- Facilitate executive workshops, design thinking sessions, and value realisation reviews to align business outcomes with delivery progress.

- Proactively manage client expectations through transparent communication, executive dashboards, and risk-forward reporting.

Commercial & Practice Development :

- Own the commercial performance of engagements including budget management, revenue forecasting, margin delivery, and change order management.

- Support business development activities including RFP responses, client presentations, solution estimations, and commercial negotiations.

- Contribute to practice-building initiatives including methodology development, asset creation, go-to-market offerings, and thought leadership.

- Mentor and develop a team of SAP functional and technical consultants, fostering a high-performance, inclusive delivery culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

- SAP certifications (S/4HANA, Solution Architect, or module-specific) are strongly preferred.

- PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certifications are an added advantage.

Professional Experience :

- 12 - 18 years of progressive SAP consulting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a delivery leadership role.

- Demonstrated experience managing full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations (greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition) from design through to hypercare.

- Hands-on exposure to at least three SAP modules/pillars (e.g., FICO, MM/SD/PP, HR/HCM, SCM, or S/4HANA core), with breadth across the landscape.

- Prior experience managing multi-country, multi-vendor SAP programmes with budgets in excess of USD 5 million.

- Big 4 / Tier 1 consulting background strongly preferred; industry-side SAP leadership experience also considered.

Technical Competencies :

- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture, Universal Journal, Central Finance, and SAP Activate methodology.

- Proficiency in SAP BTP services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI), and API-led integration design.

- Sound understanding of SAP Basis, system landscapes, transport management, and security concepts.

- Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Datasphere, or embedded analytics is desirable.
