About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant with expertise in the Oil & Gas trading domain to help clients modernize, optimize, and transform their trading technology landscape. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, traders, operations teams, and technology teams to design and deliver solutions that improve trading efficiency, data quality, operational controls, and regulatory compliance.

The role combines business consulting, solution design, data analysis, and technology delivery across the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Functional Consulting:

- Work with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to understand business processes and technology requirements.

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process improvements.

- Facilitate workshops with business users to define target operating models and future-state processes.

- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Experience in management or technology consulting.

- Experience working with major Oil & Gas companies, commodity trading organisations, or energy retailers.

- Familiarity with Core oil and gas concepts like Upstream, downstream, etc.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and data governance frameworks.

- Strong understanding of one or more of the following:

1. Physical Oil Trading

2. Commodity Trading and Lifecycle
