Job Description

Responsibilities :


As a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for :


- Participating in the design and development of testing activities under guidance.

- Collaborating with Product Owners and development teams to understand acceptance criteria and contribute to test scenarios.


- Executing test cases (manual and automated) and documenting results.

- Learning to develop and maintain automated test scripts for various test levels and types (e.g., regression).

- Assisting in the maintenance and basic optimization of test frameworks.

- Participating in code reviews for both production and test code to understand critical areas for testing.


- Monitoring test runs and reporting basic application errors.

- Contributing to team communication by providing updates on testing progress and identified

defects.

- Learning and sharing basic testing and quality practices within the team.

- Developing a quality-focused mindset within the team through proactive participation.

- Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement.


Requirements :


As a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer, you should possess the following :


- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.

- Familiarity with or willingness to learn test automation principles and tools.

- 1-2 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and some exposure to

automated testing.

- Exposure to different testing types (e.g., functional, regression).

- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Some exposure to or willingness to learn a programming language commonly used for test

automation (e.g., Java).

- Basic understanding of API testing concepts.

- Familiarity with basic database concepts and SQL.

- Ability to work effectively in an agile environment and participate in Scrum activities.

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

- Good communication skills in English
