The role demands strong Linux system administration fundamentals, a sound understanding of networking concepts, and the ability to work directly with client Technology teams during infrastructure and application patching windows. You will also contribute to routine production operations, change management, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-based system issues, including cron failures, SSH access problems, and service-level alerts.

- Assist in writing and reviewing Change Requests (CRs) documents for production deployments.

- Provide basic SQL support to assist application and infrastructure teams in verifying DB health pre/post-patching.

- Monitor system and application logs to pre-emptively identify issues and mitigate them.

- Collaborate with the client team for issues on on-premise Linux servers.

- Ensure systems are compliant with security guidelines and patches are applied on time.

- Understand TCP/IP networking, firewall rules, and port issues, and provide assistance during connectivity failures and client issue troubleshooting calls.

- Participate in DR drills, failover testing, and support readiness for audits.

- Maintain documentation for patches, failures, workarounds, and learning logs

Requirements :

- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.

- Good grasp of network fundamentals - TCP/IP, SSH, routing basics, and firewall troubleshooting.

- Basic SQL skills for querying databases and understanding application-level interactions.

- Experience working with cron jobs, shell scripts, and system logs.

- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and change control procedures.

- Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors and Bank teams during scheduled activities.

- Strong documentation habits and comfort with ticketing tools (e. g., Jira, ServiceNow).

- Knowledge of server hardware, storage, and troubleshooting techniques for on-prem Linux

infrastructure.

- Experience in BFSI or a production-critical environment.
