Role Overview:

As an SAP ABAP Consultant at Infosys, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust technical solutions within the SAP ecosystem. You will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and project managers to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of enterprise-wide SAP implementations, ensuring that business processes are optimized and technical debt is minimized across client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop custom SAP objects using ABAP to meet specific business requirements for global clients.

- Implement complex BAPI and BADI enhancements to extend standard SAP functionality without compromising system integrity.

- Create and maintain high-quality output documents using Smart Forms and Adobe Forms to support business reporting and documentation needs.

- Collaborate with the SAP CO functional team to develop technical solutions that support cost accounting and controlling processes.

- Perform rigorous code reviews and unit testing to ensure high performance, security, and compliance with organizational coding standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing SAP environments to minimize downtime and improve user experience.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in SAP ABAP development with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in complex enterprise environments.

- Strong proficiency in developing and debugging BAPI and BADI implementations to support custom business logic.

- Proven ability to design and configure complex layouts using Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.

- Solid understanding of SAP CO modules, enabling effective collaboration with functional teams on financial and controlling data structures.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal skills required to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment across Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Chennai locations.

- Ability to adapt to hybrid work models and manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.
