We are looking for an experienced Mainframe professional with strong expertise in batch monitoring and production support.

The candidate will be responsible for monitoring critical mainframe batch processing, managing production incidents, troubleshooting job failures, and ensuring timely execution of business-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor daily mainframe batch schedules and ensure timely completion of critical jobs.

- Manage and troubleshoot batch job failures, delays, abends, and dependency issues.

- Analyze JCL, job logs, system messages, and application errors to identify root causes.

- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and production support teams for issue resolution.

- Monitor batch workloads using enterprise scheduling and monitoring tools.

- Ensure adherence to production support processes, SLAs, and operational procedures.

- Perform incident analysis and provide timely resolution for production issues.

- Identify recurring batch failures and recommend permanent corrective actions.

- Coordinate batch reruns, job holds, releases, and dependency management.

- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and escalation matrices.

- Participate in production implementation, release, and change-management activities.

- Perform impact analysis for scheduling and batch-processing changes.

- Support business-critical batch processing during planned maintenance and high-priority events.

- Provide technical guidance to junior team members.

- Participate in shift-based or on-call production support as required.

Required Skills :

- 8 - 15 years of experience in Mainframe production support/operations.

- Strong hands-on experience in batch monitoring and production support.

- Good knowledge of JCL and batch processing.

- Experience with JES2/JES3 and mainframe job execution.

- Good understanding of COBOL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM environments.

- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA7, or equivalent.

- Strong knowledge of job dependencies, scheduling, rerun procedures, and production control.

- Experience in incident, problem, and change management.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
