Role & responsibilities :

Architecture and transformation :

- Define and own SAP technical architecture for implementation, ECC-to-S/4HANA migration, upgrade and integration programs.

- Define the migration approach (system conversion, new implementation or selective data transition) with the functional architect, including landscape design, sizing and downtime strategy.

- Design target landscapes on premise, on Azure, AWS or GCP, and on RISE with SAP : high availability, disaster recovery, backup, security and system copy strategy.

- Lead RISE with SAP technical onboarding : scope and responsibility split with SAP, connectivity, and transition from the current hosting model.

HANA and Basis :

- Own SAP HANA architecture : sizing, scale-up or scale-out, data tiering, performance and database migration.

- Guide technical migration using SUM with DMO, system conversion, SAP Readiness Check and Maintenance Planner, and plan to minimize business downtime.

- Set Basis standards for transport management, user and role security, monitoring, patching and upgrades (SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM).

Custom code, ABAP and Fiori :

- Own the custom-code strategy : Custom Code Migration app, ATC and Simplification Item checks, SPAU/SPDD, and retire-or-remediate decisions.

- Lead the pod's AI-led migration tooling, including InfoBeans' AI modernization platform (CodeNova), to document legacy ABAP, map ECC exits to S/4HANA and generate code and test scripts.

- Provide technical leadership across ABAP, ABAP OO, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP and OData, and lead technical design for RICEFW objects.

- Define the Fiori architecture : Fiori Launchpad, front-end server deployment, app activation and custom UI5 standards.

- Define integration architecture using IDocs, RFC, BAPI, OData, SOAP/REST and SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite.

- Establish development standards, code reviews and performance tuning (SQL Monitor, code pushdown, PlanViz).

- Support pre-sales with technical solutioning, sizing, estimates and custom-code assessments, and mentor the technical team.

Preferred candidate profile :

- 12+ years of SAP technical experience, with 4+ years as an architect or technical lead.

- At least 2 ECC-to-S/4HANA conversion or migration programs, including SUM/DMO and custom-code remediation.

- Strong SAP HANA knowledge : sizing, migration, performance and high availability.

- Solid SAP Basis background : installations, upgrades, system copies, transports and security.

- RISE with SAP or hyperscaler (Azure, AWS or GCP) SAP landscape experience.

- Strong hands-on ABAP, ABAP OO, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views and OData.

- Fiori Launchpad and Fiori front-end server architecture.

- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
