SAP ABAP HR Developer

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP HR Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM/HR ABAP development. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SAP HR/HCM, including Payroll, Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), HR Logical Databases, HR Infotypes, HR Functions/BAPIs, interfaces, reporting, and classical ABAP development. The candidate should also have experience working on at least 2 full-cycle SAP HR ABAP implementations and be comfortable working across both SAP and non-SAP integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP HR/HCM ABAP Development :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP HR/HCM solutions using ABAP.

- Work extensively with SAP HCM/HR modules and processes.

- Develop technical solutions based on business and functional requirements.

- Analyze existing HR applications and recommend technical improvements.

- Support development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

SAP Payroll, PA & OM :

- Work on SAP HR processes across :

1. Payroll

2. Personnel Administration (PA)

3. Organizational Management (OM)

- Develop and enhance HR-specific ABAP programs and solutions.

- Work with HR Logical Databases for reporting and data extraction.

- Work extensively with HR Infotypes and HR data structures.

- Develop and utilize HR-specific Function Modules (FMs) and BAPIs.

ABAP Development :

- Develop solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP.

- Design and develop :

1. Reports

2. Interactive Reports

3. Dialog Programs

4. Smart Forms

5. SAP Scripts

- Implement enhancements using the Enhancement Framework.

- Develop and implement BADIs.

- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

SAP & Non-SAP Integrations :

- Develop and support interfaces between SAP HR and external/non-SAP systems.

- Analyze integration requirements and implement appropriate technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot interface-related issues and support integration testing.

- Ensure reliable data exchange between SAP HCM and connected systems.

Implementation & Support :

- Participate in end-to-end SAP HR ABAP implementation projects.

- Apply technical expertise across at least 2 full-cycle SAP HR ABAP implementations.

- Work with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements.

- Support SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

- Provide production support and resolve technical issues within agreed timelines.

Mandatory Skills :

- 4+ years of SAP ABAP experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM / SAP HR.

Ideal Candidate :

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on SAP ABAP HR technical professional with strong knowledge of SAP HCM processes and proven implementation experience.
